Overall a fantastic budget knife with few nitpicks, with nice D2 blade, great flipping action, and good fit and finish for $45. Good: – Unique design overall design in terms of handle, blade, and logo. – Excellent clip design, perfect balance of retention and ease-of-use, rides deep with no screws getting in the way. – Great action due to relatively strong detent and caged bearings. Flipper tab is also angled for reliable and comfortable deployment. – Great fit and finish considering the low price. Nicely milled G10 scales, no centering or bladeplay issues, easy to disassemble and reassemble, crisp blade grind and good factory edge. No burrs, mismatching pieces, or rough mill marks. – US based distributor providing faster shipping and better customer service (not tested). Bad: – Poor design of the area between the flipper tab and the heel of the blade. Material should be removed and heel of blade should be moved forward slightly. In closed position, this area serves no purpose and it is possible to push your finger between the liners and touch the heel of the edge. In the open position, this area protrudes significantly from the handle, which both looks strange and prevents it from serving as a good forward finger choil. – Questionable QC. Out of the box, there was small blemish on the satin finish of the blade swedge that could not be clean away with alcohol or oil. I made it less noticeable by polishing with rust eraser. I recently bought a D2 Tuya. It is not only a “looker” with red scales and black accent on the blade, but this is meant to be a user. Ergo’s are excellent; this feels very good in hand. The D2 steel is a great steel for EDC tasks. The flipper action is good and solidly deploys the blade. Fit and finish are excellent. You will not find a better knife at this price! I’m so pleased with it that I bought another one in Red w/accent today! Good looking knife with great action and detent. Razor sharp edge on the centered D2 blade with an ingenious “choil” area on the reverse side of the fliper tab. Strong construction with skelotonized liners and excellent CNC work on the G10 scales. The first thing I noticed was how grippy the G-10 was. The knife was very smooth out of the box, but kept getting smoother. Now free fall drop closes easily with no oil still! It’s beefier than I thought it would be. Awesome knife for the money.

I ordered a bruiser because i was curious about D2 and didn’t want to drop a lot of money on a knife I might not like. When it showed up i was floored at the quality and fit/finish. First, this thing is bigger than I expected but not unwieldy. It fits my medium hands great and I havent found any hot spots. Second, the steel is much more durable than I expected. The factory edge is perfectly symetrical and way sharper than any other knife out of the box. I’d even say it came sharper than any of my Moras. Third, the bearings are super smooth. This is my first knife with bearings and I had no idea what I was missing. If they charged twice the price for this knife it would still be a great deal. If you’re on the fence, pull the trigger. This is one that won’t disappoint! Unexpected new favorite

I got mine in green with satin and Black Blade it is really light and comfortable in hand. Came sharp out of the box. Not keen on the coding of the blade I feel friction on bearing surfaces and detent ball hopefully it lessons with wear. All in all great knife. Delivery was fast from u.s. I am in Canada. I will definitely look at tuya again.

My third Tuya knife in 3 months because they provide high quality knifes for a great price. The shuriken and envey are my other two knifes, titanium handles with M390 blades and look great. However the brusier has g-10 handles with d-2 steel for about $40.00. The Brusier is a bigger handled knife that is so comfortable in my hands, that I actually have 2 of them. I have an Ontario rat 1 and cold steel fin wolf, both also excellent knifes. But the Brusier’s handle is more comfortable and is a flipper! Highly recommend this knife as a user. Great user knife!

I have bought and sold probably 50 knives over the years since getting involved in better high quality knives. Out of all of them, only about 15 at this point will stay with me for good, and two of them were manufactured by “Tuyaknife.” The Bruiser has a beautiful rugged looking blade. I love the fact I can order it with black flats and spine. Good action is a must and a lot of knives have that, but the Bruiser has a perfect size flipper tab, not too large, black also as not to be seen as easy, enough jimping in all the right places, a great feel in my big hands, and for me at least a semi-deep carry pocket clip is a must, so why doesn’t everyone get that through their heads like Tuyaknife has. No one wants to lose a knife. The liner-lock is as smooth as I has felt, period. D2 steel is a great value and lasts as long as my S35VN blades with proper care. The Tuyaknife Logo is cool and not too big, other necessary markings are not overbearing either. “The Bruiser,” you’ll love it, and won’t let it go. Built To Last – A Keeper

The Bruiser is a hand filling, sturdy knife. It is reasonably priced and competes very favorably with it’s competition for sure. Great looking blade and overall design. The blade jimping, while there, could offer a little more traction. I like the deep carry clip design and the jimping on the lock bar and flipper tab. The locking bar has a useful recess cut into the opposite scale for easy access. One other very minor but noticeable to me observation is that the G10 gets a little thin in the locking arm recess. The bruiser hits above average in it’s price range and is sharp and functional. An excellent every day user! Understandably Popular

Very well made out of quality materials. The D2 steel sharpens up easily to a very fine, sticky-sharp edge. It’s a big knife with stainless steel lock and liners so it is a bit on the heavy side, but that’s to be expected. The only reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 is due to one side of the blade grind being uneven and a bit dished out in two places. It doesn’t affect the function of the folder at all and the action and lock-up is outstanding. It’s a really great value! The web site was easy to use and shipping was very fast. I’m definitely buy from you again and recommend to my friends and family. Great knife for the money!
